Hobart offers $5,000 for best sustainbility project to support further efforts

The Hobart Center for Foodservice Sustainability has established a $5,000 grant to honor the individual or company submitting a sustainability case study judged as the most innovative and best-executed foodservice sustainability project of the year. The recipient receives a cash award of $5,000 to invest in additional sustainability measures, and will be invited to become a Fellow of the Hobart Center and help select future operations for grant recognition.

Submit your application for the Hobart Center grant by January 31, 2013.

Here's the Hobart criteria:

The grant recipient will be selected on the success in addressing one or more of these objectives:

  • How the operation reduced energy/water use
  • How the operation reduced creation of wastewater or solid waste
  • How the operation implemented a Farm-to-Fork program or other combined programs

The Hobart Center grant will be presented at the 2013 National Restaurant Association Show, in Chicago, Illinois.
