Black Bean Hummus Recipe

loose black beansIngredients

  • 1 cup cooked black beans
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 tablespoons Spanish olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Combine all ingredients in a food processor and blend until all ingredients are pureed. This can be served warm, room temperature, or chilled. When the hummus is the desired temperature, serve with pita slices or chips and fresh vegetables. Top with additional hot sauce for more heat.
