In order to minimize the risk of injuring yourself while cutting, Dexter-Russell has recently introduced a new line of cut-resistant gloves!

Cut resistant gloves are a type of protective apparel designed specifically to prevent injury to the hands when they come in contact with sharp edges. These type of gloves are extremely useful in the foodservice industry, as a large amount of cutting and slicing is necessary to prepare food for customers.

These unique gloves are designed with a combination of stainless steel wire, Spectra® fiber, and specially engineered yarns for the highest level of cut resistant technology. These useful gloves can be worn on either the right or left hand, and meet the ASTM 1790-97 standards for Level 5 cut resistance, the highest possible level.

In order to increase the level of user safety and sanitation, these Dexter-Russell cut-resistant gloves are treated with a MicroGard™ antimicrobial treatment to inhibit the growth of bacteria on both the interior and exterior of the product. The fully-encapsulated fibers can be easily cleaned and is completely washable with a bleach solution.

These handy gloves can be purchased in four different sizes in order to allow for the perfect fit, which is crucial for proper food preparation. A great fitting glove minimizes the risk of user error. In order to make the sizing chart a little easier to remember (for those businesses or organizations that need more than one size), Dexter-Russell has added a colored elastic wristband that provides both a comfortable fit as well as size indication. The small gloves are designed with a red wristband, medium have a green band, large gloves will have a yellow indicator, and x-large gloves have a black wristband indicator.
