Meet the KaTom Web Team (The Geek Squad)!

The KaTom web team consists of 1 man, 6 women, and 2 furry little ladies who spend day after day trying to make our website the best it can possibly be for you, the customer. We pride ourselves on making your experience a positive one, in hopes that you will return to shop with us again and recommend us to your friends.

This being said…we’d like to introduce you to the man and women who work hard to make this website possible!

Paula Chesworth: VP of Production, eCommerce Division

Paula heads up our web team, performing a myriad of tasks throughout the day. She is involved in every aspect of eCommerce from getting the products online to analyzing data to help promote sales. Paula approves all content before it goes live on our website, and acts as a liaison between the web team and the owner of the company, ensuring that all of our concerns are addressed. Paula is also Coco’s mommy.

Michael Shell: Lead Programmer

Michael, the most recent addition to our team, brings many years of experience with expertise in numerous fields. Michael will assume the duties of lead programmer and will ensure that the website is aesthetically appealing and increase the user friendliness of the site. Mike leads up the in house web team and works closely with Paula to ensure that our site is running properly at all times. Mike acts as a liaison between programmers and the web team, maintaining constant communication in an effort to create the best possible site for our customers. We are excited to have Michael as part of our team!

Lisa Purvis: Content Manager & SEO Optimizer

Lisa performs many tasks for KaTom.com, including html coding, shopping cart software updates and maintenance, data management, shopping engine management and analysis, SEO optimization for coding and content, online advertising analysis and optimization, providing unique website content and comic relief.

Jenna Irwin: Search Optimizer & Purchasing Assistant

Jenna has many different jobs on the web team, such as adding new products to the site & striving to improve the search feature. In addition to these duties, Jenna also ensures that purchase orders are successfully transacted. She enjoys her job immensely, but feels hazard pay may be necessary due to excessive paper cuts. Jenna is also the designated scanner operator and is always pleased when a fatal error is avoided. She is an avid University of Tennessee Volunteers fan, but, in the interest of office morale, gets along just fine with the Florida Gators and Georgia Bulldogs fans in the office.

Tiffany Garnsey: Content Writer & SEO Optimizer

Tiffany ensures that our site has original, fresh content and blogs daily about special events and features going on at KaTom. Tiffany evaluates and optimizes the website per SEO standards to promote sales and increase search rankings.

Susan Mosely: Product Knowledge Specialist & Organization and Specifications Manager

Susan ensures that the web site is well-organized and has the correct categorization of products. Susan provides high levels of product knowledge and utilizes this knowledge by checking our site for errors and working hard to fix these when found. Susan constantly looks for ways to reorganize the site to assist customers in finding what they are looking for with the least amount of stress possible.

CoCo: Cutest Member of Web Team & Promoter of Office Moral

Coco, perhaps the most important member of the web team, has several different jobs around the office, including (but not limited to): looking & acting exceptionally cute & friendly each day, sitting on the web team member’s desks, increasing staff morale, & proving that it is okay to be a little hairy. Coco teaches us perhaps the most important lesson of all - it is possible to be cute & smart at the same time!

Callie: Assistant Promoter of Office Moral

Callie, who battles CoCo for the title of cutest web team member, is not able to be with us very often, as she lives in Atlanta with her father, Charley. When Callie is able to grace us with her presence, she ensures that each member of the web team is greeted with enthusiasm. Callie & Coco provide hours of entertainment for each other & the staff, increasing morale and creating a more positive working environment.
