KaTom Proudly Announces the Addition of Staub Cast-Iron Products!

KaTom is thrilled to announce the recent addition of Staub Cast-Iron products to our ever expanding line of high-quality restaurant equipment. Staub is a French cast-iron company that creates only the highest-quality, unique cast iron products. Each piece of Staub is handcrafted from a mold that is used once, then thrown away to ensure that each product is unique.

Staub originated in France in 1892, when an entrepreneur named Auguste Waldner opened his first store in the small town of Alsace. In 1974, Francis Staub, Waldner’s grandson, purchased the company as well as a nearby cast-iron plant, thus beginning the creation of Staub cast-iron cookware.

Staub cast-iron is well-known for its preeminence in design and aesthetically pleasing exterior. The nearly indestructible exterior is available in black matter, or a variety of attractive colors to compliment any kitchen, whether residential or commercial. The enamel coated exterior of Staub cast-iron resists chipping and helps to retain the brightness of the array of colors. The interior design of Staub cast-iron products is equally as impressive, designed to ensure that heat is properly retained and distributed evenly to ensure thorough, even cooking. A special ceramic bottom allow the unit to be taken directly from the stovetop to the tabletop, allowing you to use these beautiful pieces for both preparation and serving purposes.
