Producing crescent cube ice, the Hoshizaki KMD-410MAH ice machine head can be used in restaurants and bars. These cubes measure 1⁄2 inch by 1 1⁄8 inches by 1 1⁄2 inches and are designed to take up space in a glass, reducing drink expenses. In a single day, the unit makes as much as 415 pounds of ice, but this amount depends on ambient conditions. The condensing unit has an air-cooled design that uses fans to blow cool air over the evaporator plate. As the plate cools down, refrigerant removes heat so water freezes into ice cubes.

Because this Hoshizaki KMD-410MAH crescent cube ice maker has an EverCheck™ alert system, it uses a series of beeps to alert operators of system issues. If there is a problem that requires component access, the panels can be removed, and this convenient design also eases servicing and maintenance. The ice machine's exterior is made of stainless steel—a material that resists rusting and scratching.
