Review this product!
Don't buy under any circumstances!!
I run a small coffee fund for my company, and I bought four decanters that had the stainless steel bottom and polycarbonate top (one orange-handled for decaf, two black-handled for caffeinated, and a fourth black-handle to keep as a spare) to replace old decanters of the exact same type that were so stained they wouldn't clean up any more. The type I bought had the same logo "Update" silkscreened onto them. Everything was OK for several months, until one of the black-handled decanters developed a crack in the polycarbonate plastic just above the seam where it meets with the stainless steel bottom, and coffee started leaking out every time a new pot of coffee was made. I foolishly made the assumption that somebody must have dropped the decanter or treated it very roughly for a crack to appear in supposedly 'unbreakable' polycarbonate plastic. I dug out the replacement decanter to replace it, and upon close inspection I could see a crack in the plastic in the same area as the leaking decanter EVEN THOUGH THIS DECANTER WAS BRAND-NEW AND HAD NEVER BEEN TAKEN OUT OF ITS BOX!! And now the orange decaf decanter is leaking badly from - guess where? - a crack in the polycarbonate plastic just above the seam where it meets with the stainless steel bottom. These decanters are so poorly engineered that they start to self-destruct without even being used! These decanters may be advertised as "unbreakable," but they are almost guaranteed to be 'crack-and-leakable'. A complete waste of money. Buyer beware!!!
Leaks on the seam
This pot was used to brew and serve coffee in a restaurant. The great thing about the pot was that it kept the coffee warmer than a glass pot. The not so great thing about it is that it leaks on the seam between the plastic top and the stainless steel bottom. Also it is not very easy to clean.
