The Southbend R24-3 2083 countertop electric steamer has a one-piece welded 316 stainless steel cooking chamber with coved corners instead of square corners to make the cleaning process simpler. It is manually-controlled with an illuminated power switch, a ready light, and cooking indicator light. This countertop model has a spring-release door with a removable inner liner of stainless steel and a full-perimeter gasket seal. The door also has an outer liner of one-piece all-welded stainless steel and a lock and seal mechanism for easy operation. When the door is opened during the cooking process, the generation of steam is shut off from the cooking chamber. Once the door has been closed, the steam starts flowing to the chamber again. The Southbend R24-3 2083 countertop convection steamer can be mounted flush with the countertop, set up on 4-inch adjustable legs, or stacked with a stacking kit.
