The stainless steel blade in the Skyfood GL300 compact economy slicer provides precise, smooth cuts by rotating on a dual bearing hub. This knife is 12 inches in diameter and cuts meats at a maximum thickness of half an inch. Keeping the blade operating efficiently, a dual-action knife sharpener is mounted to the top of the slicer. To use the sharpener, operators must push the knife into the stones, which swing and return to the exact starting position.

Because the slicer is built with a streamlined design and rounded corners, the cleaning process is straightforward. The Skyfood GL300 commercial food slicer has a ribbed feed chute that securely grabs meats, providing traction and keeping them in place. To further aid in cleaning, many of the components are removable, and this unit ensures safe operation with a blade cover and safety rear ring guard.
