Traulsen G21004P Description
Made completely of anodized aluminum and stainless steel, the Traulsen G21004P two-section pass-thru refrigerator resists scratches, dents, and corrosion. The cabinet comes with six shelves made of epoxy-coated steel; their wire design encourages even airflow around all product. Half-height doors on the front and back create a pass-thru design, which improves workflow between two sections of a kitchen. All the doors self-close to retain cold air and have a stay-open design at 120 degrees. Insulation in the unit is foamed in place, improving structural strength and cold-air retention.
The refrigeration system in this Traulsen G21004P two-section refrigerator is mounted on top. With this placement, the condenser operates away from dirt and dust on the floor, but it can be harder to access than bottom-mounted alternatives. Because the condenser faces the front, operators can reach it for cleaning without having to move the unit. A thermostatic expansion valve is used to meter refrigerant to the evaporator and help maintain the set temperature; this unit uses R290 refrigerant.
