Vollrath 948CG Description
Designed to sear cuts of chicken, steak, and pork, the Vollrath 948CG gas charbroiler is powered by natural gas, which is delivered through a rear connection gasket, to ensure quality finished products. Its cast iron grill plates are double sided with channels that dispense excess fat on one side and a wider, flatter surface on the other side for delicate items like fish. It features eight burners—each capable of outputting 20,000 BTU per hour—and uses a radiant heat system to prevent cold spots. To reduce grease spillage and splatter on nearby surfaces, it comes with rear and side risers. Overall, it measures 48 inches wide by 31 inches deep by 17 3⁄8 inches high and is designed to rest on a countertop for compact placement. Its body and burner knobs are constructed of stainless steel, and to keep the unit level on uneven surfaces, it sits on a series of adjustable, 4-inch legs.
