Ice-O-Matic has replaced its ICE Series models with the CIM series, which is designed to be more user friendly, easier to clean, and more efficient. As part of this roll-out, this model has been replaced by the CIM0636FA, which can produce 600 pounds of full-cube ice per day.

The Ice-O-Matic ICE0606FA ice maker is able to produce up to 652 pounds of full-cube ice per day when installed in environments with 70 degree Fahrenheit air and 50 degree Fahrenheit incoming water temperatures. Production will be less than that where temperatures are warmer. Those ice cubes measure 7⁄8-inch in all dimensions, making them appropriate for soft drinks, mixed drinks, water, and iced tea.

The ice harvest cycle of this ice machine is sped up by a harvest assist mechanism that increases production capacity while also cutting down on the machine's water and energy consumption. The interior of the Ice-O-Matic ICE0606FA ice machine is protected with a molded-in antimicrobial compound that slows the growth of harmful bacteria and slime, keeping the machine more sanitary between cleanings for safer ice.
