Ice-O-Matic has replaced its ICE Series models with the CIM series, which is designed to be more user friendly, easier to clean, and more efficient. As part of this roll-out, this model has been replaced by the CIM0436FA, which can produce 465 pounds of full-cube ice per day.

Ice-O-Matic's ICE0406FA ice maker is built with several features that make it a durable, reliable choice. Its exterior is made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel and a rugged plastic that will not show smudges or fingerprints. The machine's evaporator plate is protected with a nickel coating that resists rust. Many of the components that come in contact with water are molded to include Ice-O-Matic's Pure Ice® antimicrobial compound, a substance that makes those surfaces inhospitable to microorganisms like mold, bacteria, slime, and fungus that can give ice an off taste and potentially cause illness. That features keeps your machine producing cleaner, fresher-tasting ice between ice machine cleanings.

This ice machine is rated to produce as much as 529 pounds of ice every 24 hours. That rating is based on the machine being installed where ambient air is 70 degrees Fahrenheit or cooler and incoming water is 50 degrees Fahrenheit or cooler. Where ambient air is 90 degrees Fahrenheit and water is 70 degrees Fahrenheit, the machine will produce approximately 358 pounds of ice. To maximize the lifespan of your Ice-O-Matic ICE0406FA ice machine, it is recommended that you filter its incoming water with the compatible IFQ1 manifold filter system or the IFI4C/IFI8C inline filter system, each of which will help prevent scale formation on the ice machine's interior, and each of which are sold separately.
