Univex 4612 Description
The Univex 4612 manual slicer can endure heavy use with its anodized aluminum construction if it is run a maximum time of 2 hours per day to slice small amounts of cheese. Ranging from 0 to 1⁄2 inch, the unit's manual knob can adjust the thickness of meat slices. To protect users from the 12-inch-diameter blade, a protective edge guard is built in. Liquids are directed away from the controls by a drip tray fence, and a sharpener is built into the slicer for quick blade maintenance.

I will never buy a Univex again
First off I did not buy this from Katom and therefor cannot speak to there sales and service. However I did buy this machine and it worked pretty good for a while, but we lost the shaft that holds the plate cover on, so I went to univex and had them send me a new one. They sent us the wrong part, it was too long and when I turned it on it broke the plate cover. They said we now will have to buy an entire kit to replace the blade assembly because they do not make that plate cover anymore. We did, it was expensive, it was incredibly difficult to replace the assembly, the service tech could not handle and we had to drive it to a licensed machine shop / repair facility 2 hours away. We did, they now say it will cost $975 to repair. Which is not much less than what we paid for it. The whole time the service department at univex has been very rude to us and not helpful at all. I will never buy anything from univex again.
