Just got this out of the box. It looks TERRIBLE! It's made from 1/8" thick sheet steel that is turned up about 3/4" at each edge forming a nice griddle lip. They then fold the corners, weld them and grind the welds down. The finishing process is severely lacking. Mine had grinder marks everywhere, especially in each corner (on the cooking surface side!) where at least 2 square inches of cooking surface was ground down to bare metal (No gray coating). Also, in the main cooking field, the gray surface was heavily scratched and inconsistent. The handles are also welded on, very roughly. Sharp edges on some of the sheet steel. Not enough to cut you, but enough to feel like a piece of junk. Not a $75 griddle. Here's what I do like: The design is great. Big cooking surface, nice big lip all around to contain grease/juices/batter etc. Spring-like handle do not get hot, you can lift it off the burners bare handed. Other than that, I don't like a thing about it. Wouldn't recommend it, wouldn't buy it again. It's one thing if it was represented as the rough hunk of steel that it is (and priced as such), but it's not. Look at the pics. They're all this beautiful consistent dark gray, but what shows up is scratched, rough, and an inconsistent light gray.

Just got this. Out of the box, I'm greatly disappointed. Size is exactly as advertised but this thing looks ROUGH! It's made from, it looks like, one sheet of 1/8" thick steel, the corners are turned up approx. 3/4" for a nice lip all around. Then they welded the corners and ground down the welds. The handles are welded on very roughly too. This thing gets a solid zero on pretty. The cooking surface is mostly gray (light gray, not dark like most of the pics) except where it's scratched and ground off down to bare shiny metal. And it's scratched everywhere. Every corner has at least 2 square inches of surface area that's ground down to bare shiny metal in a rough haphazard pattern where you can still see the swirls of the grinder marks. Looks bad! And this is the cooking surface, not the bottom or sides! Now, as to performance, I can't speak to it yet. I've cleaned it, "cured it" as they call it (it's really just "seasoning" the griddle) but have not used it long term. I gave it two stars based on the hope that it'll be a good cooking griddle. Otherwise it'd be a zero.

Since we bought our 24" gas range, I've wanted a griddle for the top. This 22.5 X 10.5 fits perfectly and cooks evenly. I seasoned it and it developed a nice "burn" just like the professional griddles in the restaurants. Because of it's size and weight, it is a little hard to find a place to store it in our small kitchen, but it is great for breakfasts, eggs, hashbrowns, bacon or sausage all at once in one griddle instead of three skillets.
