Hatco S-18 Description
In an hour, the Hatco S-18 Imperial booster heater can raise 181 gallons of water by 40 degrees Fahrenheit or 103 gallons by 70 degrees Fahrenheit, providing the 180-degree-Fahrenheit water needed to sanitize dishes. This unit's tank stores 16 gallons of water and is lined with Castone®, a concrete-like material that protects the tank from corrosion and mineral buildup. Because they run through the water, the metal-sheathed elements heat water efficiently, and the immersed thermostat quickly responds to any temperature changes.
Fiberglass insulation covers the tank of the Hatco S-18 booster heater to reduce how much heat is lost to the outside air. A built-in heat trap further boosts the heater's energy efficiency by preventing heat from moving into the incoming water supply. Pre-wired at the factory, this booster heater has a thermostat that is preset to 180 degrees Fahrenheit. Equipped with a removable front panel, this unit makes it convenient for technicians to access and service the internal components.
