The Hatco CWB-1 drop-in refrigerated well's condenser uses R-513A refrigerant to hold prechilled vegetables, fruit, pasta salad, or sandwich ingredients at cool, safe temperatures for extended periods of time without drying them out. Its angled inside wall lets cool air blanket products, chilling them uniformly. Insulation built into the sides and bottom retains chill and minimizes energy consumption. So staff can adjust the unit temperature as menus change, it includes an electronic control assembly that can be mounted on either side of the condensing unit or installed remotely. This controller features an automatic defrost setting that eliminates unseemly ice buildup. To ease maintenance, this unit is built with a sight glass, service valves, a dryer and filter, a receiver, and a long, flexible refrigerant line, and its condensing unit can be rotated 90 or 180 degrees to adjust venting and enhance flexibility during installation.

The Hatco CWB-1 refrigerated food well is a top-mount, 19-inch-wide by 27-inch-deep by 25 1⁄2-inch-high unit that can be dropped into a cutout as small as 17 13⁄100 inches wide by 25 19⁄100 inches deep or as large as 18 inches wide by 26 inches deep. Great for entrees or sides, it accommodates one full-size 12-inch by 20-inch food pan. Its resilient aluminized steel construction matches other Hatco food wells for uniformity on buffet lines, and it's durable enough to withstand high-volume front-of-house use. To simplify cleaning between uses, it's built with a 1-inch NPT brass drain.
