The Delfield 4448NP-18M Mega Top sandwich prep table (formerly Delfield 4448N-18M) uses an air screen to maintain cold temperatures without drying out product. When used with appropriate adapter bars, the drawers can hold 18 sixth-size pans or comparable configurations of other fractional or full pans. Dual-level pan brackets lower the pans an additional inch into the well, which helps ensure proper chilling. Each door section has an epoxy-coated wire shelf to maximize storage space. Temperatures ranging from 33 to 41 degrees Fahrenheit are maintained, while the cabinet stays between 36 and 40 degrees Fahrenheit.

The ABS interior construction supports heavy-duty use without chipping or denting. Made of stainless steel, the top, front, and sides of the Delfield 4448NP-18M Mega Top salad prep table resist corrosion and are easy to clean. A 48-inch-long-by-8-inch-wide cutting board is mounted on the front, making prep work simple and convenient. This board is made of polyethylene and is treated with an antimicrobial agent to reduce the spread of bacteria. The MPN for this unit was changed from 4448N-18M to 4448NP-18M in 2019 to reflect a transition to R290 refrigerant.
