The Carlisle 10431U13 high-heat food pan lid is designed to be used in addition to half-size pans. It is made of high-heat plastic, so it can be used in microwaves, ovens, and steam tables, which produce temperatures as high as 380 degrees Fahrenheit. It is also safe for cold storage at temperatures as low as -40 degrees Fahrenheit. The plastic is amber in color so users know it can be used with heat, and the textured material creates a nonslip finish. A handle is built into the top, and a notch in the side accommodates closing around a serving spoon.
