Because it's not insulated, it's best suited to short-term holding applications and warm environments.

The APW SM-50-11 soup well's tubular calrod heating element sports a circular design for uniform heat distribution. Because an aluminumized steel housing covers the heating assembly, it's simple to access for maintenance. Operators can adjust the thermostatic control as menus change, and although this unit can be used with or without water, wet operation can improve results.
